Sunrise Festival 2013 - The Temple
Sunrise Offgrid festival organizes asked if I would run a bigger better workshop at their larger local festival. I turned up to the site with two van loads of scrap wood and pallets scavenged from industrial estates from the cities of Bath and Bristol. A fellow artist asked to collaborate and suggested the design of a cubic pyramid, after introducing this to the public the adults departed and a wave of children descended, the following 3 days were spent running around making sure everyone was sharing the fairly blunt tools and passing on their skill to fellow children while inebriated parents sat back and watched as the Post apocalyptic pallet palace emerged. Free paint and curtain material had also been acquired so the structure became a temple for tareaway kids.
